ABOUT ME

As well as a day job, cooking is my passion! I started in the hospitality industry at 16 as a kitchen porter (where the majority of chefs begin). I worked my way up in various businesses covering many positions, which has led me to where I am today, working as a Sous Chef for one of the best events companies in London, Alchemy Live. We produce amazing, innovative food, which has inspired me to be even more inventive when cooking at home.
For most of our events we produce 3 course meals on a large scale (up to 400 people). Another aspect of my role is helping to design, develop and create what we put on the plates, which I take great pleasure in.
I have a creative, rustic approach to cooking and I think this is due to my artistic background growing up. One of my favourite cuisines to cook is Indian food because there are so many flavours you can experience while eating a delicious curry, and I find there is always something to tweak and learn everytime you cook this style of food!
I love the simplicity of Mediterranean food, with its’ rich, fresh and humble ingredients. If I could eat one way for the rest of my life, it would be the Med way!
I hope the posts I share can inspire and help you create humble, delicious food.
